Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy—a.k.a. Sahil’s twin brother? Dream come true x 2.
When mystery man “N” begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it’s Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she’s fallen madly in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil.
Twinkle soon realizes that resistance is futile: The romance she’s got is not the one she’s scripted. But will it be enough?
Told through the letters Twinkle writes to her favorite female filmmakers, From Twinkle, with Love navigates big truths about friendship, family, and the unexpected places love can find you.
I am so excited for this book! Did you guys read When Dimple Met Rishi?!?!?!? I hope so! It was so adorable. I had a few issues with Rishi in the beginning but he quickly won me over and I really hope this one will be similar. I’m strongly hoping that there isn’t much of a love triangle even with that synopsis since I really hate love triangles. Two love interests aren’t a problem for me as long as the MC isn’t wishy-washy about her feelings. So I’m going to be cautious about that part of the book but otherwise, I really can’t wait to get my hands on this one. I love how much YA is starting to bring other people’s experiences to the pages and I love reading about them and I think this will be a great addition. Plus, I really enjoy reading about characters who are artists so I’m interested to see how Twinkle and her film work out. Really, I just think everything about this is going to be great! (As long as a love triangle isn’t the focus, which I don’t think it will be.)
What are you guys waiting on this week?
