April was over so fast, it all kind of feels like a blur! But we had such a great month! I read a lot more than I expected and highly enjoyed several of them and we went on a couple of trips, which was a ton of fun. Most notable, we finally got to see Hamilton in Chicago for spring break! And we all loved it! We also took a quick trip to San Antonio and my mom was able to come along, so we had a really good time. Who knew there was so much to do in San Antonio?!

Here on the blog, I had some giveaways I was pretty excited about and got to share about some books I really enjoyed. If you missed anything from the month, here are the posts!

Most Exciting Book Mail

Honestly, I didn’t get very much mail in April. But I was pretty excited about this book box for the kids and Spill Zone and the sampler for Because You Love to Hate Me. Also, I was able to download these two awesome eARCs:

Eliza and Her Monsters The Afterlife of Holly Chase

I’ve already read Eliza and Her Monsters and loved it and cannot wait to read Cynthia Hand’s new one.

Favorite April Reads

Alex, Approximately Letters to the Lost

There’s really no question when it comes to my favorite books from April. Alex, Approximately and Letters to the Lost both got 5 stars for me and I highly recommend both. I also really enjoyed Eliza and Her Monsters and How to Make a Wish.

Coming Up In May

I’m going to be completely honest here. I have absolutely no posts scheduled for May. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to post, because I most definitely am. I just don’t have anything planned right now except for a couple of tours that I’m actually really excited about. So otherwise, you should expect reviews, giveaways, and some Top Ten Tuesdays. I hope to make a few other fun posts to go with those but we’re finishing up school (18 days left!!!!!!!!!!) and we have a ton of soccer in the next few weeks, so I’m hoping that maybe I can lower your expectations just enough so that whenever I do happen to get a post up, you guys will be super excited. Or not. Either way, the world still spins. And once summer hits and our schedules slow down a bit (and the kids go to camp), I’m hoping to be able to plan a little better and get some posts schedule ahead of time again.

But until then, I hope you all are enjoying your spring, or whatever season you might be experiencing in your part of the world. And most of all, I hope you’re finding great books to read!
