March at a Glance

Well, I’m pretty late with this monthly wrap-up again. I don’t know why but I never get these out at the end of the month. Maybe I’ll try harder. Or maybe I’ll just pretend I meant for these to come so late. Either way, March is officially over and we are already done with one quarter or 2017. It feels good to say that. I usually like it when time passes a little more slowly but this year is weird and I think I’ll be okay when it’s over. But for now, here’s what happened on the blog this month!

Top Ten Tuesdays

Waiting on Wednesdays

Most Exciting Book Mail

I purchased the top two books, received the middle three from Bloomsbury, and traded for the bottom two. I’m so excited to read all of these! And that awesome mug was pre-order swag from Sourcebooks and I love it.

Favorite March Reads

Geekerella The Upside of Unrequited

Geekerella by Ashley Poston and The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli were definitely my favorite reads this month. They were both super cute contemporary romances and I highly recommend both of them! Watch for my reviews later this month!

Coming Up On the Blog

I’m so excited for some of the reviews coming up in April! I don’t know if you’ve seen some of the books that are coming out soon but I have a bunch of reviews for them and I really enjoyed them and while it’s sometimes a lot of fun to write reviews for books that we hate, I always enjoy sharing books that I love with you guys way more. So keep an eye out for those reviews! Also, I have a few tours that I’m really excited about! And I’ll be hosting a giveaway for Strange the Dreamer later in the month and I promise, you won’t want to miss that.

I’m guessing you guys all heard about the 20th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and how all Buffy episodes were leaving Netflix on April 1. I certainly did. So I decided it was probably time for me to finally give Buffy a chance. I binged the whole first season last month and, as bloggers do, I wrote a post all about it! That’ll be up later this month too! But really quickly I have to say that watching Bones and Buffy alongside each other was quite hilarious. I think David Boreanaz has really upped his game since that first season of Buffy. I do wonder, though, how his character improves so much that he gets his own show after just a couple of years. Because for now? I’m not sold on Angel. But I put the second season on reserve at the library, so I’m all set

I’m pretty excited for April because we finally get our spring break! Almost everyone seems to have already had theirs and I’m a little jealous! But I’m extra excited because we get to see Hamilton in Chicago during our break!!! I’m also planning on reading a lot of books but that probably goes without saying. I hope whatever your plans are that you have a great April!

  1. I thought I was the only one who’s never seen Buffy?!! My friends were doing a rewatch and for one split second I thought about joining them– and then I found out Netflix was getting rid of Buffy. Sighhhh. Anyway, the reason I never watched the original show is kind of silly. I loved the movie so hard that I was mad that they were doing a show without Luke Perry and Kristy Swanson. Hahaha. Luke Perry would have been the oldest teen vampire ever!! But yeah– the movie is still my jam 🙂
