Top Ten Tuesday (170) : Top Ten 2016 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted each week by The Broke and The Bookish and allows us to combine our love of books with our love of lists. This week’s topic is: Top Ten 2016 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To (But TOTALLY plan to).

I think for all of us that love reading, the hardest part is just that there are so many books to read and a limited amount of time that we have to read. Considering I only read about 125 books a year, there’s no way that I could actually read all of the books I want to read in any given year. And that’s depressing. But it’s also great knowing that whenever I’m looking for a book, there’s always one there that I really want to read. But still, I always feel bad for the books I really wanted to read and then just ended up not reading. For whatever reason, these are a few of the books that fell through my hands last year. I am really hoping to get them read this year, though!

The Star-Touched Queen (The Star-Touched Queen, #1) Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle, #1) Furthermore The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3) Riders (Riders, #1)

The Dark Days Club (Lady Helen, #1) Blood for Blood (Wolf By Wolf, #2) The Winner's Kiss (The Winner's Trilogy, #3) This Adventure Ends The Vanishing Throne (The Falconer, #2)

Did you guys read any of these last year? Which ones should I read ASAP?!

Riders was a 5 star for me. Loved the unique story. Furthermore was a “not for me” book. I started it and couldn’t get into the extreme nonsensical part of it. It could have been my mood with it being the holidays and I was also sick with a very nasty cold/bug for 2 weeks. May try it again in the future.

I was a little worried about that with Furthermore. I’m going to try it at some point and just hope for the best. And I’m glad to hear about Riders! Under the Never Sky is one of my favorite series ever so I’m looking forward to that one!
