2016 has actually come to an end! My hope is that you all truly have a wonderful New Year and that 2017 treats you better than 2016. Even if you had a great 2016, I hope 2017 is amazing and brings you all love and happiness and PILES OF NEW BOOKS!

December was a mixed bag for me. The end of the year and holidays are always hard but they also bring me lots of time with family and some really great memories. I struggled a bit with reading still and read a bunch of graphic novels because I’m still having a bit of trouble focusing. But I still met my Goodreads goal and that makes me very happy! Now I just have to decide what I’ll set my goal for next year. Higher or lower? Push myself or go low-stress? I don’t know yet. What are you setting your goal at for next year?

I did get back into blogging, which felt good. Here’s what happened on the blog in December:

Most Exciting Book Mail

Letters to the Lost To Catch a Killer The Castle in the Mist

Letters to the lost by Brigid Kemmerer * To Catch a Killer by Sheryl Scarborough * The Castle in the Mist by Amy Ephron

I was also lucky enough to be approved for a couple of really exciting eARCs!

Breath of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles #2) How to Make a Wish The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue

Breath of Fire by Amanda Bouchet * How to Make a Wish by Ashley Herring Blake * The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee

Favorite December Reads

The Impostor Queen (The Impostor Queen, #1) Breath of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles #2)

I’m also currently reading The Cursed Queen by Sarah Fine and really enjoying it. If you like fantasy series, I’d definitely recommend this one. Also, if you’re an adult and like fantasy mixed with a bunch of romance, I highly recommend Amanda Bouchet’s series!

Coming Up On the Blog

There are actually a couple changes happening around here. First of all, and you might have noticed already, you can now submit reviews to be published here on the blog! So if you want to write reviews but don’t have a blog of your own or if you just want to help me out, you can click on Guest Review Submissions and write up a review! I’ll review the submissions and if it isn’t a book that’s already been reviewed and it fits with the blog, they’ll be published. You’ll get credit for the work and it’ll be awesome! I’ve considered getting a co-blogger but am a little afraid to make the jump. I’ll see how this goes and maybe it’ll be a good first step in that direction.

Also, I’m changing up my emails a little bit and am hoping to switch over to MailChimp and sending out a weekly newsletter instead of daily emails with the posts. I haven’t completely set this up yet, though, so if you have strong feelings about this, let me know. I thought it might be nicer to receive just one weekly email that shares the happenings on the blog rather than an email for every post. If you have any thoughts on this or any opinions on the services, I’d love to hear them!

Otherwise, posts will go up this month as normal! We’ll have reviews and several blog tours happening. I’m also working on getting the ARC giveaways back up and running! I’m pretty excited to get out some more of the older ARCs on my shelves to you guys!

What are you guys most excited for in 2017?!

I think I’m most excited to just start a new year. Usually I’m not a big fan of starting over but I think this year, I’m actually really looking forward to a fresh, clean start.
