May was all kinds of awesome and completely exhausting. School ended, finally. BEA and BookCon were fantastic. And our kitchen is finished! I’m tried to keep up with the blog but I didn’t read nearly as much as I had hoped and now I’m a little bit behind on my goal for the year but I’m hoping summer will be slightly more relaxing than the spring and I’ll get some more time to read. Here’s what I was able to get up on the blog this month in case you missed it:

Most Exciting Book Mail

A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2) The Square Root of Summer

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas: I pre-ordered this one because I’ve been dying to get my hands on the sequel for ACOTAR. I’m currently reading it, though very slowly, but am definitely enjoying it.
The Square Root of Summer by Harriet Reuter Hapgood: I don’t actually know much about this book but I won it in a Goodreads giveaway and I’m really looking forward to reading it!

Favorite May Reads

I Hate Fairyland, Volume 1: Madly Ever After The Sun Is Also a Star My Lady Jane The Long Game (The Fixer, #2)

Guys, I am seriously in love with all of these books. They’re all completely different but absolutely wonderful. I Hate Fairyland was a completely random bookstore find and it ended up being hilarious and way over-the-top but perfect. The Sun is Also a Star is a BEA grab and even though it doesn’t come out until November, I couldn’t wait to read it. I loved Daniel and Natasha’s stories. My Lady Jane was a review copy that I begged for and I’m so glad I did! This book was fun and clever and so addicting! I’m very excited to be a part of the tour happening in June! And The Long Game is the follow up to The Fixer and a completely worthy sequel. Very thrilling and unputdownable. I’m hoping everyone will pick up this book so that we can get one more book in this series!

Coming Up in June

Honestly, I don’t know. Beyond a couple of blog tours (MY LADY JANE!!! Shadow Magic!!) which I’m really excited for, I really don’t know what else I’ll be able to get up. I have absolutely nothing scheduled yet. Real life in May really just kicked my butt. I hope since I’ll be done with school and babysitting, I’ll be able to get caught up on both reading and blogging. Also, someone hold me, my baby is starting lacrosse this month. I’ve been a soccer mom and a baseball mom but I don’t know that I can do lacrosse. It seems much more rough (they need helmets!) than anything I’ve had to watch so far. I hope we all survive to see July!
