October 2014 YA New Releases

I don’t know about you guys but September set me waaaaaayyyyyyyy back in my reading. Even keeping up with my regular reading schedule, it was impossible to stay on track with so many books coming out! I really thought October was going to be slower, but looking at October 7 releases, I know I was wrong. Very wrong. And so many of them are ones I’ve been looking forward to! I just got so caught up in September books, I hadn’t taken the time to look at what was coming next month. And it’s actually probably good that I didn’t, because I would have become completely overwhelmed!

But if you check out the list below, it’s still hard to feel upset. So many great books are coming out and how can we feel anything but excited about that?! I know I’m looking forward to The Fall by Bethany Griffin, The Young Elites by Marie Lu, Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch, Atlantia by Ally Condie, Earth & Sky by Megan Crewe, and Talon by Julie Kagawa. And those are just the main ones I’m excited for. There are so many others. Like Exquisite Captive. Have any of you read that yet? I’m definitely interested in that one. And This Night So Dark, which is a novella that connects These Broken Stars and its sequel This Shattered World. And the final book in The Darkest Mind series is coming out, In the After Light. And if you like Halloween and creepy stuff, it looks like there will be plenty of books to keep you company this month!

So go ahead and browse through the list. Clicking on the cover should take you to that book’s Goodreads page. Also, I’d love to know in the comments if you like these monthly book preview posts or if it’s just too overwhelming to get all these books at once. If nobody likes them, I’ll try to figure out a different way to showcase upcoming titles.

  1. I’ve actually managed to read some of the books for October already (Have barely read anything the past month, huge reading slump >.<)

My DNFs were Kiss Kill Vanish and Exquisite Captive, unfortunately. I actually haven't seen that many really positive reviews. Most go in the it has potential but failed at it way.

Also read Talon (1 star, I KNOW, it was just bad for me), Snow Like Ashes (2.5-3 Stars) read too much fantasy to judge that one correctly, and Tell Me Again, which I liked, it was a cute read 🙂

Looking forward to…too many to count xD
