Life of a Blogger: Pet Peeves

4 COMMENTS • This post is filed under: Life

I’m so excited to be participating in the Life of a Blogger weekly feature hosted by Jessi at Novel Heartbeat. This week’s topic is: Pet Peeves.

Ok, so this post is probably going to make me look like a total bitch because I feel like I have a lot of pet peeves but oh well. I know we all have stuff that bothers us. Mostly if something that someone else is doing is bothering me I just try to react like this:

But if I haven’t had enough sleep or if I’m hungry or if I skipped my coffee in the morning or if it’s too hot out, I’m more likely to react like this:

If you want me to not react like that, just make sure you don’t do any of the things from this list. And just a heads up, if gifs are one of your pet peeves, you’re probably better off just skipping this post. So if you’re good to go, here are (some of) my pet peeves:

Gum smacking is the worst. The worst.

When I read, I want to be left alone. Unless you are a character in the book I’m currently reading, you should act like I don’t exist.

If you’re going to take your children somewhere, please pay attention to them. Don’t expect someone else to do it just because they have kids there too.

It’s the clicking sound of someone else’s phone keyboard. I hate it when people don’t turn off their keyboard sounds and then I’m stuck listening to them typing their super important texts/notes/emails/whatever.

People who are always late drive me crazy. And then they make up some excuse for being late when really they’re just late. Just say you’re late and leave it at that.

"I totally paused." I am guilty of quoting this waaaay too often. Clueless.

Bad drivers. And people who do other stuff while driving, like texting and reading. Seriously, stop it. Not only is it annoying but it’s also unsafe. And, actually, I could probably make a whole list of just driving pet peeves. But I’m just going to leave it at bad drivers.

People who brag. And are competitive about it. Always trying to one up you. Stop it already. I get that you’re awesome and your kids are the best and the smartest and you’re super busy doing lots of important things and you’re life is way better/busier/more interesting/harder/whatever than mine. I get it. So stop telling me. I don’t care.

In case you were wondering after reading this list, yes I’m old. And kind of a bitch.

This was a list about pet peeves and those are mine. There are definitely more, these are just the ones I could think of off the top of my head. So tell me, what are your pet peeves? Are any of them the same as mine? Or am I just crazy?

Nooo! It’s not just you! I agree with all but one of them, the bad driver. I don’ t mind as much if they truly are a bad driver, but then there are those that think they’re so good that they must text, eat, drink and pick their nose while they drive.

One pet peeve of mine. People that tell me I need to act and think a certain way because of my ethnicity. And then they complain about stereotypes!

I <3 this. I think smacking gum is super annoying, as is bragging, gossiping and disturbing me while reading! I also really don't like it when people eat with their mouth open. Minor thing, but I doubt many people notice how nasty it can be. Also sneezing, coughing or yawning without covering your mouth. I mean PLEASE.

Ooh that was good to get out ^.^
