Bout of Books
The new Bout of Books is here, the new Bout of Books is here! I’m so excited!!! It’s time again for the Bout of Books readathon. This one lasts from Monday, May 12 to Sunday, May 18. If you haven’t ever participated in a Bout of Books Read-a-Thon, here is what their website says about it:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team
Also, if you haven’t ever participated and want to but don’t know what to do, don’t worry, it’s easy! Just make your own sign-up post like this on your blog, website, Twitter, Facebook, etc. etc. and then go to this post to leave the link to your sign-up post. Then when Monday gets here, just start reading. You can do updates throughout the week and participate in the chats and enter the challenges. It’s a whole lot of fun and I highly recommend it.
I’ll be participating this year and even though my week is super busy and there are days I won’t even be able to read, I’m hoping to finish at least four books, which would be a really good week for me. I’ll post a goals update over the weekend and have an update post throughout the week.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up for Bout of Books! It’s definitely one of the best read-a-thons out there!

  • I just realised that it literally lands on the exact week that I have all of my important exams! But then I guess it’s also a good time to read more because I might forget about reading if I didn’t have a read-a-thon. Good luck with your goals!
