The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do--and they are just as determined to stay together.

Within the confines of a cave they're using as a makeshift refuge, they struggle to reconcile their people, Dwellers and Outsiders, who are united only in their hatred of their desperate situation. Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. Then Roar arrives in a grief-stricken fury, endangering all with his need for revenge.

Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble an unlikely team for an impossible rescue mission. Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival--he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.

In this final book in her earth-shattering Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.

Oh boy. I don’t even know where to start with this review. I finished the book a couple of days ago and waited to write my review in hopes that I could contain my emotions enough to write a coherent review, but I just can’t put it off any longer. I love this book so much and I need to write about it. Into the Still Blue is the perfect ending to an amazing series. If you haven’t read these books yet, I highly recommend you go out and fix that. These characters are some of the best that I’ve read and if you haven’t heard of Perry and Aria and Roar yet, I don’t know where you’ve been. I don’t often yell and scream about books, but this series is definitely worth it. Go read these books!

The absolutely best thing about these books are the characters. Hands down these are some of the best I’ve ever read. They are all interesting and unique. And not just the main characters. They all have amazing depth and the ability to really make me feel all of the emotions. I haven’t felt so attached to characters in a book since Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. Seriously. Even the bad characters in this book have depth and intrigue and I wanted to know more about them. All while hating them and wanting to make them suffer. Another great thing about all of these characters is how much they grow and change throughout the series. Some of the characters we meet in the first book and see their journey through to the end and some we meet more recently. Either way, all of the characters have defining moments and growth that adds to the overall story. I wish all books I read contained the kind of character development found in these books.

Now I’m going to talk specifically about Into the Still Blue. As far as the end to a trilogy, it really is perfect. There is a ton of action, conflict, emotions, and plenty of time with the characters we have grown to love. We get to see old relationships mature and develop further and we get to see new relationships being made. We get answers to questions that have been around since the first installment and are left with hope and love and all the good things we want for these characters. Unfortunately, like any good book, not all characters make it through to the end but it would have felt forced and unrealistic if they had. It was actually very similar for me in the way that Harry Potter ended, with so many different emotions but an overall feeling of satisfaction. With a bonus that this one didn’t have an epilogue to ruin the feelings!

My final words on this book are that you really need to read it. If you haven’t read any of the books in this series, fix that soon! It’s a great series to binge read because it goes so fast. If you have read and enjoyed the first two books, you will not be disappointed with this last one. The characters continue to be amazing, the relationships are deep and well developed, the action keeps the book moving, and the end is satisfying. I highly recommend this series. I truly loved every book and novella in this series and definitely think they deserve all the love from readers they can get!
