Once Upon a Read-a-Thon!

Between the holiday weekend, an out of town wedding where my daughter was the flower girl, and my daughter being sick earlier this week, I’ve gotten a little behind in the whole blogging thing. Luckily, those things didn’t take away too much of my reading time. So even though I haven’t been participating much on the blog, I have been reading! The Once Upon a Read-a-thon is hosted by Candace at Candace’s Book Blog, Angela & Loretta at Reading Angels and Lori at Pure Imagination. I’m going to update everything for the read-a-thon right here.

Since the read-a-thon is only a few days, I don’t have huge goals but here they are:

Where the Stars Still Shine The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #1) The Infinite Moment of Us
Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller: I’ve already completed this goal and I can say that this is another wonderful book from Trish Doller!

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams: My husband and I are both reading this for a double review we’ll post later this month. He’s finished already and I just started. I hope to get about halfway before the read-a-thon is over.

The Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle: My hope is really just to start this one, however much I actually get done I don’t really care. I just want to get started.

Tuesday’s Challenge: Hosted by Better Read than Dead

“You’re in a bookstore and you’ve just purchased 5 books you’ve been dying to read, when the apocalypse hits. (Zombie, Demons, Vampires, Dean Winchester vs. Sam Winchester (yes, I’m watching Supernatural reruns) I don’t care what apocalypse). You’ve got one chance at survival, what 2 books do you take and what 3 other items do you take? “

The two books I would take are: How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It by James Wesley Rawles and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling.

The other 3 items I would take are: a first aid kit, a multi-tool flashlight knife combo, and an ax.

Wednesday’s Challenge: Hosted by Dizneeee’s World of Books

“Tell me your favorite genrefavorite book within that genre, and your favorite character from the same genre.”

I’m going to go with recent answers for this, rather than all-time, because those would just be Harry Potter answers. So my recent favorite genre to read is YA contemporaries and my favorite book from that genre right now is The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler. I think my favorite character from the genre right now is Caymen from The Distance Between Us by Kasie West because I love her sarcasm.
