As I posted earlier, I’ve joined up with the Bout of Books 7.0 read-a-thon. I’m so excited! It finally starts tomorrow so I’ve been scrambling to get my books all ready. This is the post that I will use to declare my goals for the read-a-thon as well as the post that I will be updating throughout the week with my progress. As a reminder, this is what the Bout of Books website says:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog.
I’m a little behind on some review books, so I’ll mostly be focusing on getting caught up. I’ve only got about 10% left of The End Games, so I want to finish that and then start of the others. I want to get at least three books read, but we’ll just see how things go. Here are the books I’ll be working on:
And if by some chance I finish all of those books, I’ll read:
I’ll update this post at the end of each day with how much I read of whatever book I’m on.

Reading Progress: 23% Done with Drowning in You. (I had almost no time to read today, but I snuk in a few minutes at bed time. Also, I’m not completely sold on this book yet, so I’m having a hard time getting through it.)
Reading Progress: 67% Done with Drowning in You. (The second half is much better than the first half.)
55 pages read of Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. (I skipped a couple of books to start this one!)

Read-a-Thon Challenge: Resummarize a Cover: Hosted by Queen Ella Bee Reads
I’ll be resummarizing The End Games by T. Michael Martin, the first book I finished during Bout of Books 7.0.
The End Games
A boy. His brother. Together. Alone.
At the end of the world.
At the beginning of the game.
Defeat the zombies. Win the game.
But watch out. They see you.
And they won’t let you run.
Reading Progress: Today was a super busy day and I didn’t get enough reading time to really make any progress.
Read-a-Thon Challenge: Genre Spine Poem Challenge: Hosted by Smash Attack Reads
I chose Paranormal as my genre and came up with this:
Under the Never Sky.
Reading Progress: 81% done with The Book of Broken Hearts. (I’m totally loving this book!)
87 pages read of Siege and Storm. (I can’t wait for more time to read this one!)
Bout of Books Wrap-Up
I’m actually pretty happy with the amount of reading I accomplished this week. I finished three books and almost finished a fourth! That’s much more than I normally read. It helped me get caught up on some of the review books I’ve gotten behind on. Another big plus? I really loved two of the books. That does help the reading go faster. I also enjoyed participating in some of the challenges and I took part in one of the chats! It was my first time using TweetChat and it was totally insane! But I’m already looking forward to the next Bout of Books in August! Thanks so much to everyone who hosted, everyone who participated, and everyone who chatted! I had a great week and I hope you did, too!
