This week’s question is: What is a deal breaker for you in a book? For example, do you abhor love triangles? Or can’t deal with bad editing?
I don’t have many consistent deal breakers in books. There are lots of things I hate in books, but the only thing that makes me really put a book down is if I just don’t like it. A few things that might contribute to that are bad editing, fake swear words, poor character development, insta-love, or when all the problems are just magically solved. Those are some of my biggest pet peeves in books. But there isn’t really one thing that is a deal breaker for me, other than just not liking the book.
What about you? Do you have a deal breaker? Something that just automatically makes you put down a book and stop reading it? Let me know in the comments. And don’t forget to leave me a link to your blog so I can follow you back!
