Another week of summer has passed and we’re well on our way to completing some projects around the house that were leftover from when we moved in last summer. It feels good to finally be getting some more things done around here. Now we just need to settle on a paint color for the family room. But since that might take awhile, here’s what happened last week so you can go back and check it out if you missed it.
Tuesday’s Top Ten post was all about the books I’d recommend as Good Beach Reads. A popular choice for the week was Anna and the French Kiss, which made my list too, so if you’re looking for a summer read, many people recommend that one!
I did a Waiting on Wednesday post this week and chose to highlight The Evolution of Mara Dyer because I am can’t wait to read more about Mara, Noah, and everyone else! It comes out in October. 😀
I also wrote up a review of One Moment by Kristina McBride. I gave it 3 stars and you can read why I rated it that way here.
I finished two books last week and liked both. First was Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. Can I just say that Stephanie Perkins is kind of a genius? I love her books! Secondly, I finished Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. That one was intense. Really good, but intense.
Tuesday’s Top Ten post this week is all about the Top Books on our Summer TBR List. It’ll be tough limiting this one to ten, I think.
I also have a book review planned, a Waiting on Wednesday post, and am finishing up the Dark Days Tour post.
I’m currently reading Jennifer Weiner’s The Next Best Thing and am really enjoying it. The book will be released July 3rd, so look for it on shelves then and for a review here soon. Next up will be Dark Lover by J.R. Ward. This was one that was highly recommended on my Favorite Reads Giveaway. I hope I like it, I’m holding all of you responsible. 🙂
Borrowed: Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo and A Midsummer’s Nightmare by Kody Keplinger. Bought: None! I bought no books this week! For Review: Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill. (Thanks to Random House Children’s Books and Netgalley!) I’m so excited about that one!
